Vice President of Enterprise Applications

Position Overview

The Vice President of Enterprise Applications serves as the executive leader responsible for defining and executing the enterprise technology application strategy across the organization. This role oversees a portfolio of mission-critical systems—including Salesforce, ERP (e.g., Workday), HRIS (e.g., UKG), and business intelligence tools—and leads efforts to modernize, integrate, and optimize the application ecosystem. This leader will also guide the organization’s data governance, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and security across platforms.

A successful candidate will be a collaborative, outcome-driven leader with deep expertise in enterprise platforms and a demonstrated ability to align technology with strategic organizational priorities.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

Enterprise Applications Leadership

  • Develop and execute the vision and roadmap for enterprise applications across the organization.
  • Oversee the implementation, optimization, and lifecycle management of core platforms such as Salesforce, Workday Financials, and UKG.
  • Ensure technology platforms support business transformation, innovation, scalability, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead high-performing cross-functional application teams.

Salesforce Platform Strategy

  • Serve as the executive owner of the Salesforce ecosystem, including Nonprofit Cloud, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Mulesoft and Marketing Cloud.
  • Establish governance, development priorities, and success metrics for the platform.
  • Partner with business units to align functionality with organizational needs, increase adoption, and ensure return on investment.

Data Governance & Quality

  • Provide strategic oversight of enterprise-wide data governance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Data Governance to implement standards for data stewardship, lineage, and metadata management.
  • Implement data quality frameworks and establish KPIs to measure data integrity and completeness.

Business Partnership & Value Delivery

  • Act as a strategic partner to senior business leaders to translate objectives into actionable technology initiatives.
  • Champion the use of enterprise platforms to enhance decision-making, accountability, and business results.
  • Foster a collaborative culture and drive alignment across stakeholders.

Vendor & Budget Oversight

  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, renewals, and performance.
  • Lead enterprise application budgeting and ensure cost-effective investment in technology.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise applications, including oversight of large-scale implementations.
  • 7+ years of experience managing or delivering Salesforce solutions in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture and modules (Nonprofit, data, experience, Mulesoft, Sales, Service, Marketing).
  • Proven experience building and scaling enterprise data governance and quality programs.
  • Demonstrated success aligning IT capabilities with business priorities and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Deep knowledge of application integration, enterprise data architecture, and change management best practices.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Business, Technology, or related discipline.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Administrator, Consultant, Architect).
  • Experience with ETL and MDM platforms (e.g., Mulesoft, Informatica, Talend, Reltio, Semarchy).
  • Familiarity with Blackbaud Luminate Online,BB CRM, particularly in nonprofit or fundraising environments.
  • Experience in the nonprofit, healthcare, or academic research sectors.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).

Title: Vice President of Enterprise Applications

Position Location: US Remote, Full time 

Position Compensation:  The Alzheimer's Association’s good faith expectation for the salary range for this role is between  $280,000–$305,000

 This position is eligible for a bonus based on both individual and organizational performance, up to 15%
