Associate Director, Project ECHO

The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care ECHO Program, hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association, is a virtual case-based learning experience designed to support professionals in delivering high-quality, person-centered dementia care. Using the Project ECHO model, the program connects participants across the country with dementia experts in interactive telementoring sessions that combine brief lectures with real-world case discussions. The program is designed to build local capacity by equipping healthcare and other professionals with practical strategies for best practice care across the continuum, so that individuals living with dementia and their families have greater access to care right where they live. 

The Associate Director, Project ECHO, supports operations of the Alzheimer’s Association’s Project ECHO Hub, including providing management of program planning and implementation and serving as a lead facilitator for ECHO programs. They work closely with the Director, Project ECHO to increase the Association’s capacity to organize and deliver high quality, impactful ECHO programming that is aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates live, interactive ECHO sessions and training activities that meet participant learning and improvement needs using the “all teach, all learn” ECHO model
  • Coordinates development and delivery of instructional content and course activities to ensure alignment with Association priorities and adherence to current evidence-based best practices. Ensures ECHO sessions are relevant, impactful and responsive to evolving needs of participating healthcare teams
  • Leads coordination among internal and external stakeholders, including clinical and content experts, operational staff, and partners to ensure effective implementation of ECHO Programs. Manages timelines, roles, and responsibilities across teams.
  • Provides guidance and coaching to existing and new ECHO faculty and partners to support best-practice implementation and fidelity to the ECHO model
  • Manages the continuing education process, including coordination with the CME accrediting body and serves as the primary point of contact for all CE activities
  • Oversees promotional and recruitment strategies in collaboration with Association chapters, Home Office, and external partners to support participant engagement in the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care ECHO Program
  • Supports development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems to track progress towards ECHO program goals and objectives, including reach, engagement, and impact
  • Administers surveys and feasibility assessments to gather insights that inform program development, enhancements, and planning. Supports integration of findings into actionable reports for program leadership to support evidence-based decision making
  • Monitors program performance and leads continuous quality improvement efforts across the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care ECHO Program, ensuring alignment with the ECHO Superhub Associate Director
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in health education, public health, social work, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years professional experience in delivering training programs, project management, health-related programs, or similar experience, including experience with project planning, activity tracking, outcomes evaluation and reporting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated experience with group training and facilitation, preferably in virtual or hybrid formats
  • Exceptional ability to manage diverse teams and foster collaboration across disciplines to support successful program design and implementation
  • Experience in leading programs and projects implemented involving multiple collaborating partners and stakeholders
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain productive working relationships with clinicians, subject matter experts, and healthcare professionals
  • Experience in instructional design and adult learning principles, with a focus on training implementation and engagement
  • Experience interacting with internal and external stakeholders on high visibility projects
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in tracking and reporting program activities and data, including ability to summarize data for evaluation, reporting and quality improvement
  • Strategic thinking and program planning skills, with the ability to align program goals with organizational priorities and emerging needs
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Understanding of health equity and cultural competency, with the ability to apply inclusive approaches in program design and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Google Meet) and the ability to learn and apply new technologies and systems

Position Grade & Compensation: Grade 508 The Alzheimer's Association’s good faith expectation for the salary range for this role is between $79,000 – $85,000
