The Alzheimer’s Association national office seeks an experienced Senior Prospect Management Analyst to join our Prospect Management & Research team. This team plays a pivotal role in supporting the Relationship Development department, which is responsible for raising over $100 million annually through the work of dedicated, multidisciplinary fundraising professionals.

A key fundraising partner, the Sr. Prospect Management Analyst assists with portfolio creation, optimization, and, as needed, realignment. The Sr. Prospect Management Analyst partners closely with assigned donor advisors on relationship and portfolio management, and consults on the development of novel engagement and solicitation strategies. Drawing upon prospect research knowledge and experience, the Sr. Prospect Management Analyst will provide high-impact prospect intelligence to assigned donor advisors in order to prioritize portfolios and fundraising efforts. In collaboration with the Director, Prospect Management & Research, the Sr. Prospect Management Analyst conceptualizes and strategically implements new prospect management policies and procedures aimed at maximizing fundraising efforts, and therefore, the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association. As the Relationship Development department grows and evolves, the Sr. Prospect Management Analyst will be expected to support mentorship of new staff and lead periodic peer training and education sessions.


Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Director, Prospect Management & Research with portfolio creation for new and evolving fundraising positions.
  • Analyze strength, coverage, and saturation of regions and donor segments to provide informed recommendations about portfolio composition and pipeline sustainability.
  • Provide regular portfolio and proposal consultations with assigned front-line colleagues. Collaboratively develop actionable engagement and solicitation strategies that match prospect interests with organizational priorities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned donor advisors and fundraising teams, providing curated lead generation and consulting on opportunities for enhanced relationship management.
  • Proactively utilize a diverse range of databases, resources, and records to assess prospect capacity and enhance the Association’s ability to conduct interest-based fundraising by identifying information on prospect affiliations, connections, and interests.
  • Leverage high-level understanding of data science and analytics in order to bolster internal and vendor-supported scoring, modeling, and goal setting projects.
  • Collaborate with the Director in adding sophistication and maturity to the team by conceptualizing, developing, and implementing new policies, procedures, and reports for active portfolio management.


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in prospect management or prospect development field.
  • Experience building and optimizing fundraising portfolios for annual fund and major gift level donor advisors, including planned giving and foundation relations.
  • Experience and proficiency with prospect research tools, techniques, and methodologies, and an ability to synthesize and clearly communicate research findings.
  • Bachelor’s degree and experience in fundraising, with an emphasis on writing, communications, and prospect development.

  • Sense of curiosity and a desire to enhance the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of prospect management industry best practices and a desire to stay connected to evolving industry standards and tools.
  • Experience conducting searches through the internet and online prospect research databases, including LexisNexis, iWave, etc. to assess wealth indicators and determine donor interests and affinities.
  • Comfort developing strong working relationships in a remote environment.
  • Experience working in a diverse, regional fundraising model.
  • Strong sense of ethics, sound judgment, and strict adherence to confidentiality policies.

Full time based on 37.5 hours per week minimum
Position Grade: 508 Exempt (Estimated Annual Salary Range $75,000 - $90,000)
