This position provides leadership and strategic direction for implementation, growth and quality of Alzheimer's Association programs and services in the chapter territory. Measurable outcomes are increased utilization of Care & Support services and engagement with key decision makers in the community for greater reach, with an emphasis on volunteer and community engagement.
Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the chapter’s Care & Support strategic initiatives, tactics and measures to increase the reach of care and support programs and increase access to a timely diagnosis and quality care as established in the Strategic Implementation Plan.
- Lead the development and implementation of a department plan to expand program reach with new audiences with special attention to increasing participation among minority, high risk and underserved populations.
- Lead chapter’s community assessment process utilizing data to create a Community Development Model, identify key markets of opportunity and host community listening sessions.
- Effectively implement a strategy to recruit, engage and manage volunteers to deliver and support Association education and support programs through community engagement.
- Provide leadership for the delivery of all programs and services by volunteers to increase organizational capacity including planning, budgeting, and adherence to program standards and reporting processes.
- Develop new, sustainable community partnerships that advance the Association’s mission, expand program reach and increase program delivery as per Strategic Plan goals.
- Build strategic partnerships with community organizations, academic, public and private sector to advance the Association’s mission and serve more clients across the territory.
- Identify and engage community organizations that support target populations for outreach including diverse and underserved populations.
- Collaborate with the cross-functional team to create new funding streams for program expansion.
- Supports Association’s efforts to improve ADRD diagnosis, disclosure and care through a collaborative approach led by health systems directors.
- Education: Master’s degree in Public Health, or related field preferred or relevant experience.
- Experience: 5 years progressive experience with community engagement and strategic planning and implementation; 3 years staff & volunteer management
- Demonstrated history of service delivery, strong public speaking skills and an understanding of volunteer/community engagement and management.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

- Proven strategic thinker with experience evaluating growth opportunities and implementing comprehensive strategic plans.
- Skilled in identifying potential partner organizations, implementing effective outreach strategies, and negotiating partnership agreements.
- Demonstrated success at building community relationships and engaging resources to achieve objectives; ability to create commitment and cohesiveness within teams; strong ability to influence others and outcomes.
- Demonstrated success working with diverse populations, volunteers and staff to build and maintain successful teams.
- Experience recruiting, engaging and managing high performing volunteers.
- Outcome and data driven.
