Position Summary:

Reporting to the CMO, the Marketing Specialist partners with the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Marketing, Home Office, and Field Marketing and Communications staff on the strategy, development and execution of marketing strategies for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Concern and Awareness pillar. Responsibilities include project management, media monitoring, reporting and data analysis, as well as writing, designing, and developing, material as needed. This position is a part of the Home Office Marketing and Communications team and collaborates to execute strategic vision of special projects. The Marketing Specialist is accountable for providing an exceptional level of marketing support and expertise.

Responsibilities

Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for daily news media intelligence and monitoring (both national and local). Determine which media to assign to national target KPI and which applies to local chapters, impacting the KPIs for the Association.
  • Project manage diversity and equity requests for translations for all Association assets. Provide recommendations for project direction and manage through completion.
  • Analyze, prioritize, and categorize types of media coverage and provide comprehensive media coverage reports each month of total impressions Association wide, contributing to the success of the Association’s Concern and Awareness nationwide mission pillar.
  • Lead Field Marketing and Communications staff as resource for issues that are not addressed in FAQs. Execute decisions with respect to impression and priority activity. Report attributions on a daily basis contributing to the accuracy and success of the Association’s Concern and Awareness Strategic Implementation Plan.
  • Write and design brand communications presentations, which will positively impact the Concern and Awareness mission pillar of the Alzheimer’s Association.
  • Administrative duties

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree (or equivalent) plus 5 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) plus 2 years of experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Decision making skills
  • Strong writing and communications skills
  • Experience in proof-reading
  • Strong database management experience
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Data analysis experience  
  • Strong MS Office and Google Workplace skills
  • Ability to travel as needed (minimal)
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 10 pounds
