The mission of the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research, to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Founded in 1980, the Association operates out of its main office in Waltham, MA, with regional offices in Springfield, Worcester, and Raynham, MA, as well as Bedford, NH. The MA/NH Chapter is a founding chapter of the national Alzheimer’s Association.


General Statement of Responsibilities


Reporting to the Director of Professional Healthcare Services, the Manager, Professional Healthcare Services manages and cultivates relationships with partnering healthcare system accounts for the Dementia Care Coordination (DCC) program, an innovative dementia management program across the two state Chapter. As a volunteer driven organization, all staff are expected to recruit, cultivate, support and manage volunteer relationships to advance the mission of the Alzheimer's Association. Occasional evening and weekend work is required. The ability to travel extensively throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire is required.


Core Job Responsibilities


  • Manage and cultivate relationships with partnering healthcare system accounts for the Dementia Care Coordination (DCC) program, an innovative dementia management program
  • Engage with health systems to make them aware of Massachusetts Acute Care Recommendations and the benefits of being a dementia-capable system
  • Leverage existing relationships with referring clinicians to expand throughout the health system
  • Collaborate with key Chapter and Regional staff to identify influencers and potential partners
  • Graduate level intern supervision

Key Educational/Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Four years’ experience developing, growing and maintaining relationships with healthcare systems, clinical practices, community health centers, and/or health plans
  • Experience in marketing and/or outreach to health care settings
  • Understanding of Public Health and the role of a Voluntary Health Organization in promoting and interpreting new findings

  • Demonstrated success working with volunteer-led programs, preferred
  • Knowledge of account management strategies and ability to successfully implement those strategies to achieve goals
