Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Manager is responsible for strategic planning, management and execution of all aspects of the chapter’s The Longest Day and South Jersey Golf Classic campaigns, including but not limited to operational planning, event budget management, constituent, sponsor and volunteer retention, recruitment and cultivation. Revenue responsibilities total $290K+ with expected growth in years to come (TLD: $140K / SJGC: $150K).



  • Responsible for strategic planning, management and execution of all aspects of the chapter’s The Longest Day and South Jersey Golf Classic campaigns (includes additional community based / DIY events, golf outings, marathon events, etc)
  • Responsible for building volunteer engagement plans: identifying, securing and cultivating volunteer leaders and planning committees including volunteer management / communication: coordinating committee meetings, agendas, minutes, follow up, etc
  • Responsible for constituent and honoree retention, recruitment and cultivation to drive total revenue
  • Responsible for securing corporate sponsorship, including solicitation and execution process; follow-up, financial tracking; benefits and general stewardship of sponsors throughout the year
  • Manage execution of event plans of operations including timelines, budgets, etc
  • Manage all event logistics: venue, vendor relations, contracts, day of event production and execution including volunteer coordination, applicable to campaigns
  • Manage all event collateral and communications, creation and execution of print and digital communications, ensuring adherence to Association branding standards



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of experience in leadership fundraising and corporate partnerships
  • 3 years experience in and proven track record of strong event fundraising performance, with year over year growth
  • 3 year experience with staff or volunteer management, with additional project management responsibilities
  • Preferred peer-to-peer fundraising experience or equivalent sales background
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% within the assigned territory by ca Must have a valid driver’s license, access to reliable vehicle
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as required for the job
  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift and transport up to 40 lbs of materials
