Job Description

This position is responsible for event fundraising management and overall strategic planning of all aspects of assigned relationship events. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication and training materials for the home office and chapter network.

This is a full time, remote position reporting to Senior Director, Relationship Events


Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Director, Relationship Events to provide strategic and best practices guidance to chapter network in reaching their financial goals, including 
    1. Serve as subject matter expert on all facets of gala fundraising (sponsorship, mission ask, auction, etc)
    2. Consult and collaborate with chapter network galas on volunteer recruitment and engagement
    3. Co-create revenue growth and volunteer engagement strategic plans in partnership with chapter network event staff partners
    4. Develop and implement stewardship program for gala-type events
    5. Develop and maintain tool kits and resource library for utilization by chapter network
    6. Serve as creative resource in identifying and applying trends in the fundraising events industry
    7. Serve as Home Office point-of-contact for collaborating, troubleshooting and problem-solving with donor services, finance, and marketing/communications on behalf of chapter network as needed
    8. Oversee the top-level relationship and contract with gala management system (GiveSmart) 
    9. Support Home Office relationship events as needed
    10. Other duties as assigned


    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • 5 years of related event management and sales or nonprofit fundraising experience
    • Experience in event fundraising and proven track record of sustaining event fundraising revenue growth at $500K and above

     Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Proven success in developing donor/client engagement and recognition plans. 
    • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; affinity for relationship building  
    • Ability to work independently, as well fully engage in a culture where team collaboration and diplomacy is highly valued.   
    • Proficiency with Google Suite as well as Microsoft Office applications
    • Proficiency with Internet and database/fundraising applications.   
    • Ability to work some evenings and weekends, and travel as needed. Estimated overnight travel up to 50%.
